Snowy day homeschool fun - a math and science learning lesson all rolled into one. The kiddos learned about primary colors, followed a color mixture recipe and counted drops of colors when mixing, and learned about the transition of a liquid to a solid by freezing. After we froze the letter and number molds I poured them into a huge mixing bowl and gave each child a serving spoon so they could race to spell their name and find the number that represents their age. Next, I tossed out some math problems and they had to discover the right answer and then race to scoop out the correct number.
